The vision of Vidya Vikas Education Society is ambitious and clear to become a recognized, independent hub of excellence, blending knowledge with innovation to foster the holistic growth of students, particularly those from underprivileged backgrounds, in their chosen fields. Our mission echoes the pulse of societal aspirations, resonating through our educational endeavours.
Vidya Vikas Education Society was founded by esteemed Trustee Shri P.M. Raut, a distinguished educator honoured with the National Teachers Award in 1994 for his exemplary contributions to the field of education. Following in his footsteps, Late Smt. Vidya P. Raut, who served as the CEO of Vidya Vikas Education Society, was also recognized for her outstanding dedication and service, received the National Teachers Award in 2001. Their combined legacy continues to inspire and elevate the standards of education within the institution.
The institutionβs roots trace back to 1962 when the founders sowed the seeds of education with a Night School in Pantanagar, Ghatkopar. Through earnest dedication and the noble intentions of the management, what started as a modest sapling has flourished into a towering tree of wisdom over 62 years (1962 β 2024), branching out into urban, semi-urban, and rural landscapes like Vangani in Thane District and Redi, Taluka β Vengurla of Sindhudurg District.
The Trust, Vidya Vikas Education Society was honoured with the prestigious Savitribai Phule-Fatima Sheikh Smruti -The Best Educational Institute Award, celebrating its commitment to excellence in education.
Today, the ISO 9001 -2015 certified educational institution comprises 20 branches, operating successfully in both day and night sessions, alongside four branches of schools and colleges under SSES, nestled in Ghatkopar. Together, these entities extend educational opportunities to more than 12000 students across all demographics, with a special focus on the working-class community, nurturing their growth and advancement.
This noble endeavour thrives under the guidance of more than 700 dedicated teaching and non-teaching staff, who tirelessly uphold the institutionβs ethos of enlightenment and empowerment.
