Introduction
The Cultural Committee of VIKAS COLLEGE OF ARTS, SCIENCE & COMMERCE plays a vital role in promoting creativity, talent and cultural awareness among students. The Committee strives to celebrate the cultural diversity in the college by organizing various competitions, events, activities and programs every year. The committee organizes various cultural activities such as festivals, competitions, annual events, talent shows, memorizing great personalities by organizing various programs and inter-college level programs. It provides students with a platform to express their artistic abilities in areas like dance, music, drama, art and literature while encouraging teamwork, leadership, and confidence.

Goals & Objectives:
Showcase Talent: Create opportunities for students to exhibit talents in cultural events and activities
Organize Events and Programs : Plan and execute the academic year's cultural calendar, including annual fests, talent shows, celebrating various days, memorizing great personalities and thematic competitions.
Team Building: Create a suitable, engaging atmosphere that fosters teamwork, camaraderie and breaks down social barriers.
National Pride: Promote traditional, cultural, and national values to build a sense of belonging and pride.
Skill Development: Develop organizational and management skills by involving students in event planning.
Achievement: Motivate students to win accolades, prizes, and certificates at various collegiate, state, and national levels.
Activities
The Cultural Committee of the College was established in the year 1986 with the objective of promoting cultural awareness and nurturing students’ creative talents. The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) has reconstituted the Cultural Committee from time to time, and the Convener, Faculty Members, and Student Members are appointed through an official notification issued during the IQAC meeting.
Activities Conducted by the Cultural Committee:
- Open Mike Day: A platform for students to showcase their talents in poetry, music, stand-up comedy, storytelling, and other creative performances.
- Jallosh – Annual Cultural Fest: The College’s flagship cultural festival, providing opportunities for students to participate in various artistic and cultural events.
- Hooner – Art & Cultural Fest: An annual cultural festival organized by the parent body, in which Vikas College actively participates.
