The Department of Commerce & Accountancy, one of the oldest department, take pride as a jewel on the crown of Vikas College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Vikhroli, Mumbai as it started its journey way back in 1986, from the date of inception of the College.
It plays a vital role in promoting quality education in the fields of commerce, business, and finance. The department is committed to developing students’ analytical abilities, financial literacy, and professional competencies required in the modern business environment.
Since its establishment, the department has focused on providing strong theoretical knowledge along with practical exposure in areas such as accountancy, business management, economics, taxation, and financial systems. The curriculum is designed to meet the needs of industry and higher education while encouraging students to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
The department regularly organizes seminars, workshops, guest lectures, industrial visits, and academic activities to enhance students’ knowledge beyond the classroom. Through these initiatives, students are encouraged to understand real-world business practices and emerging trends in commerce and finance.
With the support of qualified faculty members and modern teaching methods, the department strives to nurture responsible professionals and entrepreneurs who can contribute effectively to the economic and social development of society.
