About the Department

Established in the academic year 2003–04, the Department of Botany occupies a significant place on the second floor of the main building of Vikas College. The department is equipped with a modern experimental laboratory and is complemented by a spacious botanical garden that facilitates experiential learning.

The department caters to students from various streams of Biological Sciences and Biotechnology, especially those interested in Plant Sciences. It focuses on conceptual understanding, practical skills, research aptitude, and environmental awareness.
